We're Back...

The View from our Room

Okay....We just got back..well by just I mean a week ago from the most amazing trip we have been on. Jay and I with some friends went on our first cruise to Alaska and let me tell you, if you have not been cruising you should give it a try. It was so much fun, relaxing and we did things that I never thought we would do...Okay we did ONE thing I never thought we would do..Zip Lining....Let me set it up for you...When going into the ports you can chose to do different activities in the towns...and Zip Lining was the one that stood out for me..So hear I go and talk the rest of my group into doing this thing and on our way there my husband asks..."Who do you think will freak out first?" I, of course chose him and my girlfriend who are both afraid of heights. I wouldn't freak out, no way..not scared of heights here..Bring it on...That was my cocky attitude...So it starts with all smiles, a great Jet boat ride to the island, a ltitle 4X4'n in a Mule (name of the vehicle, not an actual Mule people) up to the zip site and gearing up to go. We had 2 practise runs...so off I go and for some reason had a tough time with the steering of it, no big deal..By the second practise I not only concentrate to hard on the steering that I flip around I can't make it to the other side and have to pull myself in. Again, no problem. We hit the 3rd tree and they say.."Okay it's time to get started." That's where it happens...Everyones voices are getting quieter, my breathing starts getting heavy, everything is closing in on me and I start to Panic...PANIC PANIC PANIC! I look over at my girlfriend who is a little freaked out too and all I can remember is her looking at me and realizing she had to do an immediate calm down or I was going throw everyone off of our 200 foot tree perch and that would be the end of that. I really don't know what happened...Somehow I calmed myself down got back up on that stool and rode the 783 feet across to the next perch, screaming my head off and praying that I would make it. Anyway by the end we had the time of our life, I would do it again and here are the pictures to show the "fun" we had! The kids had a blast well we were away but I still can't figure out why Jordan is calling Teagan Jordy....She is quite confused about who Jordan is...Try explaining to a 2 year old that SHE Is Jordy and that Teagan is Teagan..anyway here you go! I must go off and get caught up on reading everyone elses blogs...

Lost...

Where has all the time gone!? I can't believe how long it has been since I posted on this blog. We have been so busy with life. Nothing to exciting really. Cassie has lost yet another tooth. The twins are getting bigger and talking more. My mom and I went on a much needed spa retreat! Thanks Mom! We had a great time where by 7:pm we were in our pj's watching mindless television and stuffing our faces, a dream come true vacation, SERIOUSLY! Cameron is into drawing these days. He must have colored a whole coloring book yesterday and tacked them up in his "art gallery" aka. the laundry room. And Jay and I have been busy getting ready for our trip in 3 sleeps to Alaska baby!!!!!!!! My goal is to have fun and to try and not fall off the boat. Yes, this really is a concern for me. I'll be the passenger walking around all the time with a permanent life vest, maybe two after the wine I plan on enjoying. As much as we are going to miss the kids this is a much nedded, much earned vacation. We shall be better parents when we return. Enjoy the pic of Grandma and Grandpa amusing Cameron on his obsession with trains..CHOOO CHOOOOOOO!
Oh and HAPPY BIRTHDAY CLARKE & HEIDI!
